The Care Call Speech Pull Cord works in a similar manner to the speech pendant except that it can be attached to the ceiling and you pull the cord to raise an alarm.

The in-built microphone allows the user to speak to the recipient or Alarm Receiving Centre and also to hear via the in-built speaker. The pullcord should be pulled until the red, green and amber indicators flash and two beeps are heard.

These indicators also show the progress of the alarm call, in the same way as those on the speech pendant.
